SR9 .22 conversion?
Hey all, I was just wondering if any one has ever heard of a .22 lr conversion for the Ruger SR9. I have looked around and haven't seen any. I know it is a relatively new gun, but was hoping that some one out there was making one. I know it might be cheaper to just get a .22 pistol instead but I want to practice with my SR9. If any one knows of one I would be greatly appriciated. As stated before I haven't seen one online, yet. Thank you every one.

None that I know of and I suspect none in the future either. Lots of engineering costs would go into making a .22 conversion kit and potential sales probably wouldn't warrant the expense. At this point there isn't even a kit for XDs, and there are a ton of them in circulation. Sigs, Glocks, and 1911s...

Okay thanks. That was what I was afraid of. Oh well. Too bad. Perhaps in the future however unlikely. On the shopping list is a 1911 so maybe in the future I will get one for that. Thanks guys.

I've weighed the advantages of having a .22 conversion and come up short of doing it. For what most conversions cost you can get a nice .22 auto pistol.

The benefit of a conversion is the ability to train on your desired platform cheaply. Few dedicated .22 pistols are designed to emulate "duty" type guns...

NGIB that is what I want to try to do. If I have to use it (very unlikely) I will be able to have had practice with it.
