Default Sphinx 9mm?

This gun looks like one I'd like to own. It's advertised on a banner here, but I have yet to see anyone that owns one. Does anyone have any knowledge, good or bad about Sphinx? Has anyone seen them in stores? The compact models are supposedly available, with the full size on the way.

Default 3000

"Gunblast" blog....that usually gives a decent evaluation of any sporting product..had good things to say.
Originally , the Swiss gun company was making a variation of th Beretta 92 (type).
This old ,& first model is not the quality - rated 3000 ..(.newer) model in .40. S&W.

I just noticed that banner recently, too. I've also never hear of them. While they don't really do anything for me, I doubt highly the Swiss will be producing junk.

Default sphinx

By and large (I mean large $$) the Sphinx is a refined modification of the CZ75 design. How much better of a role model , to fashion yourself from ?

High quality CZ derived design. Sort of a "what if the Swiss made the Witness series?"
Last I saw, they were rather pricey. If your tastes run that way and your budget will support it, go for it. You certainly won't see 10 others just like it at your local range.

As a side note, the Swiss actually used the slide-in-frame setup before CZ.

I believe Sig Arms was using it pre 75.

I like them. I'd take it, but then you'll never see me post a thread on 'what's the best gun I can get for under $200'.
