Smith & Wesson M&P .40

Haven't posted in a while. Hope all is well.
Anyways, does anyone have any experience with the full size M&P .40? Any input would be great. I've handled several, both full size and compact and love the ergonomics but I haven't had a chance to fire one and I'm curious to see how they perform. Anyone shoot one off a bench? If I got it I would have the PC work on it. Hope to hear back soon.

I might be able to give you a little input. I don't personally own one of the pistols you're talking about, but my good buddy has been issued one as his duty weapon; he's a police officer in a VERY VERY dangerous part of Maryland just outside DC. They've just switched to the M&P .40 as their standard carry weapon and needless to say in that area it's probably in his HANDS every bit as often as it's in his HOLSTER. He loves it and when he put it in MY hands, I too was very impressed. Even with the smaller hands I have, it fit very comfortably and the overall ergonomics were excellent. He claims stellar accuracy.

I plan on renting one on my next trip to a range that isn't my own back yard. If that happens soon I'll update.

Hope this helps somewhat.

I own a M&P .40, great firearm in every way.
Get one you won't be disappointed.

I have had the M&P full size 45 for a couple of years, it is my primary consealed carry firearm. I truly enjoy the pistol and highly recomend them. As always if possible find a place that rents them and shoot one.

I just picked up an M&P40 a few months ago. It's my first pistol and I could not be happier with this gun! I shot allot of different guns first and chose the M&P because it's the most comfortable for me and it's made in the USA!

Indeed, strong is the force of the S&W .45 and .40. Try them and you will like them! I am so attached to mine, that I have named them both, well, I have given names to all of my firearms, but these boys are my favorites for carry and all around performance. :)

My wife has a full size M&P 40, about 8 months old at this point. She's put about 2500 rounds through it without a single malfunction using a variety of different ammo (WWB, Blazer Brass, Federal, plus some JHP rounds).

Great gun if it fits your hands.
