Check Kahr PM40, MK40 and P40.

The smallest I owned (for about a week) was the Kahr PM40 - not a fun little gun to shoot at all with hot defensive ammo. Accurate and reliable, just not my cup of tea - I'd trust the one I had though...

I'm thinking the Kahr as mentioned but I can't imagine their fun to shoot. I'm not a 40 fan though.

Just to clarify, I answered the question and think they will not be pleasant to shoot but for conceal carry, the priority should be the one you will carry. For me, if I had to engage...it will not be more than 10 yards anyway and I would rather have a bad recoiling gun than none.
