It's your wallet, knock yourself out! P226's are great guns, BTW.

Just a few extra's like anticorrosive finish, night sights, and a little "prestige" of having the same gun the Navy SEAL's are issued. To some that is worth the extra ching. Not gonna lie, wouldn't mind one myself but will settle for a standard, no frills P226

Nearly every P226 comes standard with night sights and a very anti-corrosive finish. Even the X-change kits come with night sights...it's standard on all of the P22# models I believe. SEAL's generally get what they want...so I guess you'd call it the Sig "some of them choose".
But I agree 100% that it's a cool gun. An expensive anchor stamp, but a sweet firearm.

Is the navy anchor the dedicated sure fire way to tell the difference between the MK25 and the standard 226? I was at one of my favorite gun shops and they have one in stock with the anchor or the slide but he said it wasn't the MK25 but I still wasn't convinced because it made no sense. Any ways, what's a good price for this pistol?

My thoughts exactly.
Bought my railed w/sig light night sights in 04 for $640 and got 3 hi cap mags. Great gun. One buddy bought the same Sig last year for $699 and another friend bought one last week for $725.
I understand the dollar has lost 20% value since BO turned on the printing press but still seem to me that on the MK25 your paying $300 for the cute little anchor on the side.

( I think its funny how everyone blames the president for all the counties economical problems and financial strife but fails to realize that the president still needs congress and Senate approval to make any major decision. Next thing is that the majority of all the government offices are Republican who have been shooting down our presidents proposal right and left. In closing, it really pisses me off how people show little to no respect to this man that hold the highest office in our country. Agree or disagree with his policies, he is still Our president. I have served my county proudly and I think that any American that has fought for and to keep the freedom of speech uses it when needed and not just to voice an ingnorant ass opinion because they can. Nice cross rifles by the way. :-)
Back on topic, I just saw this in a magazine last week, how long has this pistol been on the market?

Nothing he said was untrue. Congress has nothing to do with the fed. Matter of fact, geithner was asked point blank if they planned any "quantitative easing" in regard to the debt, and he said no. Yet They did anyway. This was testimony TO congress.
How you can blame congress for that is beyond me.
The repubs have had power for little over a year now. BO got everything he wanted to that point. Spent more money in 3 years than W in 8. This AFTER he called W unpatriotic for the spending.
Thank GOD somebody is in DC blocking this spending (attempting to anyway).
Talk about "ignorant ass comments"...WOW.
Sorry, OP for jacking the thread. It just seems we've had an influx lately of these left wing "gun owners", and I couldn't let it go.

Left wing gun owner is an oxymoron and or myth. Can't believe in socialism and the right bear arms. Its a conflict of interest.
