Default Sig Sauer P220 slide release stuck

I have a sig P220. I tried to clean my gun and when I tried to slide the release slide it got stuck halfway and i cant push it any further to release the slide out. Anyone knows what's happening and what is I need to do to fix it. The gun still shoots with no problems!
Thanks

Is it new to you and are you familiar with its operation ? Does the slide lock back on a empty magazine ? The slide release only works when the slide is lined up with the half moon notch towards front of slide...Best way is to just lock the slide back...I also wouldn't keep using it with it in that position...I have 6 Sigs going back to 92 and never heard or saw that happen...If you can field strip it take it apart and make sure the recoil spring and guide are installed properly...I would definitely inspect the barrel for damage where the slide release sits if you been still shooting it.

Thanks for quick reply. I bought it new few months ago. I'm pretty familiar with it. The slide lock lever goes back to locking position and gun shoots fine. I do have the slide all the way back and locked but when I try to release the lever it does not open all the way.

Yes...I have the exact gun...The slide release catch is a simple operation...Only thing I can even think of is It's not seating and catching the barrel right which tells me the barrel isn't sitting right.

No it does not. I took a video of me trying to release it and I took couple of pictures out of the video.

Ok so I know whats wrong but you can't fix it without taking it apart.. I would lock the slide back and really put some effort in getting it in the unlock position , don't try to force it in the locked...Worse case you might have to ship it back to Sig...The key is getting it to the unlock so you can take it apart and reassembly it.
