Does it have a hammer or internal firing pin? I am looking at getting one to carry, what type of safeties does it have as well?

It has a recessed hammer and no safeties. The hammer is fully recessed until you pull the trigger.. Making it ideal for carry. Im not a fan external safeties.. In the heat of the moment you dont want to be fumbling to disengage!

So very true, I was looking at this one and the 220 another member mentioned. Thanks for the reply.

I was wanting to replace the plastic guide rod with something more substantial and assumed that would be an east part to find. Apparently I was mistaken...

I did too! It does seem flimsy... I couldn't find one. I guess we could call Sig.. I know some versions of the 250 came with metal rods so they must have some. All honestly i have 1000+ rds and zero failures.. It might not be necessary. it would just make me more confident

Haven't called Sig yet, but I did check their website and didn't find anything. I know Greyguns makes them, but they seem to be sold out, always.

My problem is the spring is so tight against the flat end of the rod that I can't get it off by hand. I'm afraid if I try and grip it with anything else I'm going to snap it. I'm sure it's way more durable than it looks, just not sure if I want to chance it.
