Default Sig P226 Issues.

Does anyone have poor accuracy from their p226? My shoots where all over the place. This was using 115gr federal ball ammo from a rest. Someone told that they had the same problem until they changed to 124gr ammo. Does anyone know if there's any truth to that.... Looking for any input.

I've had a P226 for a couple of years and never had any accuracy issues (that weren't caused by me). I have shot PMC, Remington and Federal 115g FMJ with no problems.

I also reload and use 115g Ranier bullets with no issues. Obviously YMMV.

My self-defense rounds are 124g Gold Sabers, also no problems.

Sigs have combat sights and your sight picture should be as follows

Own a 229 and it's dead on every time

How experienced are you at handgun firing, do you get good accuracy with other pistols?

With my Kimber TLE I don't have any issues. Nor with my Glocks, XDs, or M&Ps. Only with this Sig.

I even used a rest. I'm gonna let my gunsmith shoot it tomorrow and see what he thinks.

I have the elite dark 226 9mm and I am on the money from about 20 feet but after that, my shots are all over the place. I took off the adjustable sights and put the original sig sights on and gonna see how it does from longer ranges with those. I had the TFO sights on it but they didn't fit that model right. Sucked because I loved those sights. So I sold em. I do have a G21 and a M9 that I am very accurate with up to 75 feet. The M9 shoots like a dream. And I think I'm better with the 21 because it's a heavier bullet. ???? But yeah, I'm in the same boat as u. Still trying to master the sig because I can't sell it, I love and always wanted a sig. Huh, as long as I can get a head shot from short range I'm content with it.

Yea I love those tfo sights. Thanks. I can't shoot that great yet but it's my first handgun so give me a little break. A p226. Feels great in my hand though.
