I sent the slide to CCR for a $79 slide job.

Here is a much better pic I was able to take outside.
My buddy will be Duracoating again in a week or so, so I will let him fix the run he made on the slide, but I was also thinking I would let him do the slide release and the grip part that comes off. It will sure look different!

I have been strongly considering one of these as my next purchase, the only thing that gets me is it looks kinds blocky compared to other Sigs. Could it be it just looks that way in the pics?

Those calling the 2022 the smaller 229 are confused the 229 is the sub compact 226. The 2022 is a stand alone platform and sigs entrance into poly guns and correct me if I'm wrong they used to call the 2022 the sig pro but the name fell off.

I think it's comparable to the Springfield XD's

Yes its bulky. Im used to glocks.. holding the Sig.. feels kinda weird. But it takes time.. ill get used to it eventually.

Your not wrong exactly, it now designature is the SP2022 which I'm sure stands for...... Now the actual Sig Pro is is the 2340, their is also the 2009 which I believe is the same minus the rail. I think that the 2022 is very similar to the 226/229 except for the frame. To me they are almost the same weapons.

After looking at it some more, I looks to me like the grip is different than other sigs. How is the comfort of the 2022 grip compared to say the 226 or the 250?

Skip the 250, unless you want the hamerless look ( it has one, its just internal ) and the double action only trigger. If I had to pick one of the two and I did it was the 2022.

The grips all felt the same and I'm not sure if the 250 has the different grip that come with like the 2022 does if it does then they are similiar as all Sig polymer frame pistols are but I think the trigger pull is too long on the 250 but you didn't ask that did you.

The grip on the 2022 feels like the 226/229, just the pistol is lighter due to it being a polymer frame.
