That was one H--- of a deal. I would have jumped on that too! Wish I could have made the deal! That Springfield is one good looking 1911. Let us know how she shoots!!!!!!

Well as long as this thread is back I might as well give an update.
Yes, I did the trade, everyone was happy. However the gun looked like it had ridden under the seat of a car, been dropped, thrown in a tool box... IOW it had scratches lol, but it shot great although the slide to frame fit was sloppier than my AK.

I sold it about a month ago to raise some money for my next 1911, which will probably be either a Springer Milspec, or Ruger SR1911.
I still have my Springfield GI model though.
