Just like I couldn't part with my 16ga or my .22WMR, the .22WMR belonged to my granddad, and the 16ga was fixed by my granddad, as was the High Standard pump. Somethings I could let go if I knew it wasn't something I needed.
I sold my first gun, a single shot youth model 20 ga. shotgun...don't miss it. I doubt I will ever sell or trade any of my current weapons...the only reason I would sell/trade is if I don't like my gun. I do like some better than others, but I do not dislike any of them...more guns is better than less....too many is never enough.
Man once surrendering his reason, has no remaining guard against absurdities the most monstrous, and like a ship without rudder, is the sport of every wind.
-Thomas Jefferson to James Smith, 1822.
I have sold some rifles and shotguns that I regret selling. I can't say I regret selling any of the pistols I have sold. Right now I can buy almost any pistol I want. I have no intentions of buying one I owned before.
