semi auto handgun for target shooting
hey guys, i would like a good reccomendation for an accurate up to (50 yards), reliable, and without a very long range (like .22) semi auto handgun
all for under 300 bucks?  used maby?
and can drop a wild coyote if needed but can't go too far if missed
i guess my real question is in a caliber but a gun reccomendation fits into it as well.

The Kel-Tec PMR-30 .22WMR Handgun comes to mind.
I think it fits your criteria.

If you can find them. Got one in the shop-once and sold 15 min after we logged it in. Nice piece though for sure. I'd love to shoot one.

Maby I shouldve worded it better I was trying to say I dont want a .22lr because of the long range I dont want a bullet to travel 1mile and hit God knows what.

a 9mm can travel 2 miles a .45 I believe is over a mile. Almost all rounds can travel over a mile if they are shot at the a 45 degree angle on a perfect day. Point being if you shoot a .22 level it will only go a few hundred yards maybe if there are no other obstructions ie wind tree. So if you want cheap target shooting you buy .22 if you want to shoot varmint you buy a larger caliber. You can most certainly kill anything with a .22 but you need to be a really good shot with it. just my two cents here

45acp drops faster I would think/if I remember from last week...
Although you should only be shooting in directions that are safe w an adequate backdrop/berm.

i will make a recommendation for the Ruger Mark III 22/45 target pistol. comes with a scope base so you could mount a scope and make longer and more accurate shots. i bought mine NIB for $270 + tax. nice shooting pistol. i will also recommend buying more magazines for it, you will want them once you start shooting it!

Ruger Mark II and Ruger Mark III but I prefer the Mark IIs. Good cheap shooting and great practice with the .22LR:

The mod bug can easily bite you though,
Tactical Solutions barrel, compensator, Volquartsen accurizing kit but kept the stock hammer since slightly heavier for more reliable ignitions (I was experiencing light strikes, went away with the heavier hammer) and red dot sight:
