carrying an unholstered firearm is a recipe for disaster. it often leads to the gun going off wounding the owner or a bystander.

just because a clip is attached to a firearm does not bypass any ccw regulation that i have ever heard of. whomever told you that is not someone whose advice is well thought out
Good point indeed!

Yeah I would go with the pocket holster instead of the clip

My sister clips hers on her belt, between the belt and her pants. Do you guys see anything wrong with that? I'm asking because we all try to be safety conscious. The trigger is covered btw.

The way it sits, it is covered by her belt. It appears very safe to me. She wears her belt snug (I'll also point out that she's not the type to wear foofy clothes, but men's jeans) and the trigger and trigger guard are both fully covered between her waist band and belt. Any thoughts?

I wouldnt carry a pistol that way. Its called mexican carry. Just stuck in the waist band no holster. Its the root cause of most self inflicted gunshot wounds. Well other than just plain negligence.

There are a lot of good sturdy holsters with belt clips that cover the trigger with solid leather or kydex with just a single clip that does what she wants in a safe fashion. Its how i carry my new agent. I can quickly and easily tuck it in at 3oclock and good to go.

She's thinking of getting something bigger any ways, and knows she'll have to get a real holster if she does.

I have a clip on my lcp and love it. I have in on all day And never realise it. I will note that most of the time it does not have 1 in the chamber when in my pants plus the long trigger pull helps
