The M&P line was introduced in the hopes of regaining the LE market share that was once owned by Smith & Wesson. Glock thru skillful marketing has a good 70% of the LE market, they practically give pistols to large departments. I've had 4 Glocks and well all were functional and reliable I always ended up trading them. I have 3 S&W M&Ps and feel they are better pistols and Smith is finally making inroads into the LE market with this line. To me they are more comfortable with their better interchangeable gripstraps and I like the design better with the internal sub frame. The only thing I've done to mine to make them better was the addition of Robars NP3 finish, something I highly recommend.

Those look great! What all did you have refinished with NP3 besides what we can see?

Russ, I had a full size Beretta PX4 done a couple of years ago and just got my Compact PX4 back from Robar this afternoon. Here they are. This is a fantastic finish that is gauranteed for life. It not only looks great and makes cleaning easier, the teflon impregnated electroless nickle requires mush less lubrication.

Those all look great mag. I should have been more clear, I was wondering about internals. Did you pull down the internal workings and get them coated as well?

I opted for Robars Norton Special where they plate all the metal internals adding greatly to the pistols durability and function. You can also opt to have your magazines NP3d.

Thanks for the info mag. Great pics too. Did you coat the barrel too? If so, inside and out or outside only?

They do the barrel too, but only the outside and not the bore.
