I would *like* to see a separate sub-forum for M&P's but I'm not so sure how necessary it is.
Which did you buy first, and why, there is logic to my madness.

I bought the 9c 1st, was my 1st handgun ever, "thought" I wanted a safety.......2nd handgun purchase was a Kahr PM9, for summer carry as the 9c was a little tough to always conceal......3rd purchase was the 9Pro, love the platform wanted something for range shooting and something a little better for home defense.

I thought that might be the case, but I find it odd that you think the 9c is hard to conceal, I know the Kahr is flater, but I didn't think it made that much difference.

I'm still in the choosing stage, do I want it for a carry gun, or a fun shooter ???????

My daily driver is a Mod. 642 S&W ,38 spec., although I have a light weight commander and several other guns that I could carry, the little centinal hammerless carries like it wsn't there all the time.
Yet, I'm just not sure which I should buy, perhaps like you, I may end up having both.

I'm a pretty skinny guy and I wear a lot of fitted clothes, especially in summer, the 9c is a perfect carry in winter with thicker clothes and I can even get away with it in summer depending on what I'm wearing. The Kahr with the single stack really makes it a lot thinner.

Well then, perhaps I ought to be taking another look at the Kahr, how do they compare accuracy wise to the M&P 9's ?

The Kahr is really small and can be a bit "snappy", definitely not a range gun but not horrible to shoot either. I feel a little more accurate with the M&P at 25 ft (which is the closed I can shoot at my range), but I'm sure at closer distances that would be more realistic in a self defense scenario the accuracy would probably be pretty similar. Major downside on the Kahr is the round capacity, about 1/2 of the M&P which is why I almost always carry a 2nd mag. Other thing I prefer on the M&P is it is easier to field strip.

Perhaps it's because I'm new here, but I don't see anything listed but 1911's, Springfields, and Glocks.

How about it guys, any M&P fans on this forum ?
No need for a sub forum or to wait in the corner concerning the M&P series. Many here own and carry the pistol. Ask your questions and you will get several responses depending on the caliber. I favor the 45, might not be for everyone but it's about what fits you best.

M&P 40 owner. Solid firearm, as expected from S&W.

I am now the owner of an M&P. I will see this weekend if it is as good as my Sigma. Going to be tough, maybe I will start pimping the M&P more than "The Worlds Greatest Sigma"™.
