Default S&W 5906 9mm questions (pics added)

I just received and cleaned the S&W 5906. It is in very good condition so I am very happy with this purchase. I love the heft of it and will most likely buy all metal pistols more now.

I do have a few questions.

1. Where can I get a blown-up diagram for it? I do have the user's manual already.

2. Torn between 124gr +P or 147gr +P Federal HST for my SD/HD load...which is better in your opinion?

3. Is it okay to dry fire this pistol w/o a snap cap?

4. Anyone know a good (price) source for 15-round mags for it? I asked CDNN and they told me they don't have any.

Here she is BTW,

Thank you.

Have you checked the usual places for mags? Midway, Brownell's, etc?

Yes I did but maybe I am using the wrong search since that was before I learned that the mags are compatible with various S&W models. I will check again.

After checking with CDNN again, I learned that they have a lot (new original, used original, new generic Mec-Gar). I ordered 3 Mec-Gar and couldn't be happier after I received them. They look & feel better than the original mag actually.

I had a bad experience with them. I ordered a magazine for my FI Model D. they sent me a magazine for a Star with a note that I could take it to a gun smith and have it modified to fit. It would never fit properly because the bottom is completely different. I sent it back. I had to pay shipping both ways for something I didn't order. They told me it was their policy I pay even if it was their mistake. Anyone think that was fair? I found the magazine I needed at Gunclips for $10 less later. Hope anyone who buys from them has better luck than I did. I won't buy there again.
