CZ's have lower bore axis because of the internal slide rails. That helps a lot.

Indeed. The only downside to it is when the slide gets hot and your hands get sweaty it can be somewhat difficult to rack the slide. Doesn't bother me too bad though. I think the almost non-existent recoil is worth it.

That was always my issue with the CZ's, too. Not enough slide to grab for failure drills.

I've been practicing tap-rack-bang drills with wet hands, and while it was a little difficult at first, I'm starting to get better at it. To me, it's just a training issue and in a couple months, hopefully it won't be an issue at all. I love everything else about the gun so I'm not gonna let the lack of real estate to grab onto discourage me too much.

It's definitely something to look at though when purchasing a new pistol because it does make failure drills slightly more difficult.

It does pay to keep finger nails trimmed VERY short.

I have to say that despite that one little quirk that the CZ has that you two are mentioning, I still say that the CZ 75 is the "Queen of Nines."

(The "King" obviously being the BHP. )

I'm considering getting my slide cera-coated on my cz75b; i'm now wondering if that would make it too slippery for my mitts. It already feels a bit small in my hands.

I think the CeraKote will make it rougher, easier to grab.
