Ruger SR9
I want to find out anybody's opinions or experiences with a Ruger SR9. I like the Ruger revolver I have and was curious about the SR9. How does it stack up against a XD, Glock, etc. Thanks in advance!

Hey Donny,
I do not own either of the guns that you mentioned but I have shot the SR9, Glock 19, and the XDM-9 and in my honest opinion the SR9 is a nice gun, but neither does it or the Glock 19 stack up to the XDM-9. If you have an opportunity go rent all three of them and shoot them for yourself. I was 100% set on buying the Glock 19 until I shot the XDM-9, it felt so good it was almost like sex.

My wife bought a SR9 Ruger back in the fall of '08 and she likes it alot. It seemed ammunition picky at first, favoring Winchester over Fiocchi, Blazer, and Remington. She found 1000 rounds of the Winchester fodder at a reasonable price and has gotten capable in her shooting. I am not a big fan of 9's although I have shot many, I still prefer the old punkin' roller 1911 .45acp. The SR9 does shoot pretty well and I feel it is a servicable mid level pistol. The Sig 9mm's I have shot seem the best I have used, have never tried an XD, I hear they are outstanding pieces.
Good shooting,
Jeff

I have about 150 rounds through my SR9 and I am content so far. I shot it at an IDPA match and it held up well. Still too early to tell, but so far, so good.

Sr9
I own one and love it. It is extremely accurate. I bought it used at AO for $389.99 and it already had a trigger job done by the previous owner. I have run about 300 rds through it without any problems.
It shows as well as my Glock 19C and Sig 2022. They are accurate and run 100%. My first one was sold to a friend who liked it. Never had any problems out of it either.
You will need the mag loader if you get one so do not throw it way.

I have a Ruger SR9 and I love it. It doesn't like cheap ammo very well, though.
My husband was fairly impressed with it, too, but he still prefers a Glock.

That's a good deal right there.
The only issue I have with them is the trigger. It's a little stiff for my tastes.
