Ruger SR40c
 

I'm considering buying the Ruger SR40c and was wondering what y'all thought about it. It's mainly going to be a range and carry firearm, and the replacement for my beloved Ruger SR9c (I want to have more punch in my carry firearm :o).

I'm also considering the XDm 3.8 Compact .40 and the Glock 27. What are y'all's thoughts?

I think if your SR9C aint enuff gun you need to move or quit hanging out where your hanging out :D

I just want a little more bang for my buck (pun intended). I carry my Springfield 1911 in the fall and winter, and I want to switch out my spring and summer carry to something that's still easy to conceal, but gives me a little more punch.

I don't live in the worst part of town, but not the best either. As for where I hang out, that's mostly gunshops, gunshows, and my cousin's property to do some shootin' ;).

A .40 in any polymer under 4" is just a little too snappy for me to enjoy shooting much. Keep the SR9c is my vote.

I'm going to keep my SR9c, because it was my first firearm I purchase and I just love the thing so much. I wish my local range had a Ruger SR40c or some other compact firearm I could try out :(. How does the recoil compare to the .45 ACP?
