The sights on the Ruger slim 9 are terrible and will not stay adjusted. I have had it for about 3 years. Is there a good after market sight to put on it? It is a great CC weapon. I haven't seen a good 45 slim enough to be comfortable unless any of you have a suggestion. I also have a Mark 3, for trade if anyone is interested in a good 22lr to shoot economically at the range.

if the sights move to easily in the dovetail there is several ways to tighten them up. Is that the problem? You can remove the sight turn upside down and center punch the sight. This will raise some metal and make it somewhat rough. That should make it fit much tighter without doing anything to the gun itself.

Thanks, I will give it a try. I haven't carried it much since I bought it for that reason. I've been carrying my 380 LCP which is great as far as carrying, but I like the slim 9.

You could also use some wicking blue loctite once you have it sighted in. Blue is as strong as I would go just in case you ever want to remove the sight again.
