I have owned a Beretta M9, S&W M&P, Sig P226 and Springfield XD 9 compact. In my opinion, Glock is better than them all.

I shot a XD. 45 full size. It was very nice.

I've owned four Glocks. I don't own any right now and I have no desire to "remedy" that.

Get the Ruger. It's a great gun at a great price. Rugers offer awesome reliability and excellent accuracy.

IMO Ruger pistols feel poorly made.

I have the Ruger P95 9mm and its an awesome Hun with 800 rounds and nary a failure. It's a full size gun too and a bit "chunky".

My other is the Bersa Thunder9 UltraCompact Pro in 9mm and also awesome with over 1,000 rounds and flawless functioning! Both are DA/SA firearms the Ruger has 15+1 capacity and the Bersa 13+1. You should be able to buy either brand new for under $400 bucks!

I highly recommend either one but the Bersa best for CCW.

It actually fits great. It's a full size grip. I still love shooting the P95.
