They are close in price. I've looked at specs. So now I would love some feedback from folks with experience with these two guns or one with comparable features and price

Requirements :
Ambi mag release
SA/DA TRIGGER external hammer
double stack

The Ruger 15+1
Attachment 71136

The Taurus 17+1
Attachment 71137

I've heard the Taurus is a decent pistol..but I'd take the Ruger any day of the week. U.S. made and the P series has a reputation of good reliability. If your not set on a DA/SA pistol theres the Ruger SR9 that can be had at a good price.

I had a Ruger P-95 and I never had a problem with it. I had one jam up and it was due to the ammo that I used. I used the wolf or the reloads that I had. One of the bullets was not seated right.

Thank you. I am leaning to the Ruger.

Until recently, I wouldn't have said this, but spend the extra cash and get a Glock or Springfield XD. For the extra cash, you get reliability and durability that Ruger and Taurus can't match.

And if you search hard enough, you'll find a price in the $450 range.

I also have an XD40 no problems with this one either. I would also go with Springfield not because of reliability but the XD is not as bulky. The Ruger P95 is is very reliable.

Glock or Springfield don't have comparable features. These are both SA/DA guns.... that's what im looking for.
If money was no option id get a sig or Beretta or S&W 59 or HK

I never saw the big deal about a Glock, until I shot a Glock 34. I now own a Glock 34 and Glock 19 FDE for CC.

I'm not looking back.

I have owned a Beretta M9, S&W M&P, Sig P226 and Springfield XD 9 compact. In my opinion, Glock is better than them all.
