Lots of folks have dropped in and offered advice - did you listen to any of us?

Seriously, have the range master at your range fire your gun. If they do not have problems - then it's your technique...

I did not ask a question in my last post pertaining to technique.I asked about the pictures of my ejector hook.

I put around 75-100 rounds of 115 and 124 gr blazer and federal ammo through my Ruger this morning with not a single problem.

At least use the right terminology - it's the extractor not the ejector.

It looks fine which is why I mentioned the problem is most likely you...

Dude, seriously, you answered your own question on the last page.

All I am trying to do is rule out mechanical defect before I spend alot of time and ammo on improving my technique. If the extractor hook looks fine, then I will have more confidence to work harder to get a better grip.

Are you two handing the gun? You should, and your weak side hand should be providing at least 60+ % of the grip. Let the trigger hand do the pull, not the grip!

The extractor needs to be rounded on the bottom where it initially contacts the round while stripping it from the mag.

Does the extractor hold the round with too much pressure?

To test for this, slide a round up from the bottom with the slide removed from the gun. Shake the slide with some manliness. (don't overdo it) The round should remain captured by the extractor.

Now whack the slide against your palm, The round should snap out from the breech.

If this test fails, you need some tuning!

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!
