Not trying to necropost but I thought this would be helpful to anyone who happened upon this thread. Ruger paid shipping both ways - my LC9 was gone for a total of about three weeks - the repair slip didn't say much - just that they had replaced the missing parts and test fired it. After I got it back, I took it to the range and tore threw 500 rounds with no problems. Whatever caused the problem has been fixed on their dime. Also, I checked my mail a week or two after I got the pistol back and discovered a box from SR&Co. -- a free, very nice Ruger ball cap with an enclosed note "thank you for purchasing a Sturm, Ruger and Co. Pistol. We appreciate your support" Signed S,R&Co. Customer Service.
