I have a brand new 22/45 lite. Havent even fired it yet. I bought a magazine disconnect bushing to put in it before i start shooting it. I proceeded to install it when i got to the point where i partially remove the hammer pivot pin. The problem is it wont budge at all. I hammered away on it with a brass punch and hammer and it just wont budge. I would really appreciate some help. any suggestions?? I had someone tell me it was a bent pin and i need to buy a new one but i still dont know how to go about removing the old one.

the sear return spring falls into a notch on the pin in question. you need to use a small punch to press the arm of the spring down then you can drift the pin.
