Raven .25ACP by Phoenix
Anyone have any suggestions (besides paperweight) for what kind of ammo to run in these guns? I've got on that I've had for years and never shot. Since it is the only .25 I'll be buying ammo for, I would like to choose wisely the first time.

I had one of these for a while, ran great, not a failure and snappy little thing. It was fun. I ran Remington UMC FMJ 50gr in white and green box no problems. Use this brand/type for every caliber I have.

A box of good .25 ammo probably costs as much as the gun is worth.

If I could find a well functioning 1911 for the cost of a box of .45ACP ammo, I'd gladly buy it. |

I've had one for about 25 years and the darn little thing just goes "BANG" every time. Fun little thing but yeah, ammo is pricy. Just buy the cheapest stuff you can find and go shoot the hell out of it. CCI made Blazer ammo in 25 ACP that was pretty cheap but I don't know if they still make it.

While the Raven is a cheap handgun, they seem to function well. The advantage that .25 ACP has over .22 is reliability of function- that semi-rimmed case just feeds better. You can buy assorted golly-gee ammo for a .25 (I think they even made Glaser in that caliber), but really, any of the major brands should work. The Raven is not a picky eater.
