Just wondering if I could find some kind of adapter or something to mount a streamlight tactical flashlight on the bottom of this bad boy.

Anyone know? I'm guessing not, but I'll ask anyways.

Interesting.

Looks like something out of Robocop or something.

Technically, you could probably find a way to do it. But for the life of me I can't imagine why the best solution wouldn't be to just buy a railed P220.

That's a fine gun there. No need to "Bubba" it up or start adding elaborate contraptions. You don't throw a Geo engine into a BMW just because you want good mileage. You find the right package...and if need be, trade the one you're sitting on.

Well, I got a sentimental attachment to my current 220.

I might just get a 228R.

Well, I'll offer this much:

If you want a tac light/laser on a Sig, here is a really nice option at a fair price. This place charges $50-100 less for this Sig Sauer light/laser/strobe than anyone else that I've seen. I'm happy with mine. Buy it direct from Sig, and it's $215.

i hear ya there i got a 220 i wont sell even tho ill prolly never carry it again cept to the range. they are really nice shooters.

personal opinion is negative on rails. they tend to snag on things. im not a fan of lights on guns. people tend to point them at you when your talking in the dark clearing a building. we had a couple of batman types that put lights on their M9's on patrol duty(im ex MP) i hated working with em shinning that damn light at everything pointing their gun at everything and everyone in a tense environment.

never got over that so i got a very low opinion of weapon mounted lights.

I have one tac light and have yet to use it for anything. It just sits on my P226, holstered on the nightstand. But mounted on an emergency nightstand gun, I find it a welcome accessory should my dreams ever be interrupted.

Surefire makes some adapters for non-railed pistols. I picked one up for my Colt a couple of years ago. I do not know if they still make them. The adapter used your take down lever and a allen screw to hold them in place. The only draw back is finding a holster for your pistol unless you want to use a nylon dropleg holster.
