I was thinking about getting one of these from a place here by me for $175 and I believed you just convinced me! How can you go wrong for that price if it is a decent gun, and 9mm to boot so cheap to plink with.

I promise you won't want to spend much time plinking with that gun. A box of shells is likely all you want to shoot out of it at one sitting. It would be about like plinking with a LCP using +p ammo. But I do recommend getting one. They are great little guns.

All depends on where that acre is located! if you're inside any city limits I sure wouldn't do it. And if you've got any neighbors within 400-500 ft I wouldn't try it there, either. I've got 2+ acres and am about halfway between two small towns (Dade City and Zephyrhills, Florida) about .4 mile off US Hwy 301. I'm on the side of a hill with no neighbors to my south or west. So I shoot downhill, to the west, but the longest I've shot was with my AR-15. That was 83 yards on a diagonal. Let off 5 shots, and here came a guy from 2blocks (from the east) away. Said he wanted to make sure I was OK. But he didn't have a gun, and he's a Hollywood-type (literally - he's a stuntman in LA), so I feel sure he was just being nosy. If he really thought somebody was shooting me, what was he gonna do? Fistfight the shooter? C'mon....

Oh, btw, J&G has the P-64 for $149 right now....$30 off.

just to be clear this is the 9x18 makarov round, not the 9x19 Luger or parabellum. & no they are not interchangable

This is apparently what mangled my PA-63. To the extent I can reconstruct the event, the pin pierced the primer, discharging the round. The slide retraction pulled the spent primer out of the cup, leaving the primer stuck on the extended pin, holding the pin out. The slide advanced, placing the next round into battery and slam firing the round as it seated. Anyway, it was a job getting the thing apart again... It sits in a forlorn little box on the workbench... bent up firing pin stuck in the deformed guides... so sad.
