My wife has a walther p22. If you use the cci mini-mags or cci velocitors, the pistol functions perfectly. YMMV with other ammunition.

Thanks for the heads up, I have heard the same with the p226 .22lr conversion. I have almost 1200 rounds of .22lr to go through, Mostly Remington and whatever the red bulk box from Walmart is, I can't seem to recall...
Thanks again.

As a rule of mine, I will usually respectfully, challenge comments like yours. A statement such as X brand "sux" needs to be backed up, are you speaking for your own experience or as a tech rep.

Oh = one .22lr round that definately does NOT work properly - Winchester Super X. FTF/FTE 1 out of 2 rounds with those piles of trash - and I have 1000 rounds of it that i got cheap

shi... It is the red box of Winchester, Oh well, I have a couple of rifles that seem to east anything, So I will keep that in mind.
Thanks again.
FWIW, This appears to be an older p22, It is numbered in the low 100K build range.
Have fun all

I hear that the later models work better ...
btw, that Winchester Super X will not work in my .22 bolt action springfield (way old - 75+ years). It works, but then the casing swells up and you have to pry from chamber with a knife.

catastrophe averted! I have a red box or Federal rather than Winchester I did a quick search earlier and remember the Winchester box at WalMart, But I guess I dodged a bullet and bought the "other" red box

I forgot some of James' lead art from some of the rounds that hit the dirt from either .223 or 7.62x39
