I think you posted this the other day. Sorry you didn't get an answer. I'm not familiar with the gun. There are a lot of reviews on YouTube if you don't get any responses.

I had one...and sold it. If you like the Beretta 92F....buy the Beretta.

My brother has one, he loves his and it's a good shooter, i agree that the beretta is a better gun but you do get a good gun for the price!

The PT-92 is (or was at one point) a licensed Beretta 92-series clone. I think I even read that (at least at one point) Taurus used Beretta tooling left over from a Brazilian Beretta factory. Of course this doesn't mean that the quality are the same but it is made to similar spec and has Beretta pedigree.

The one thing some people seem to prefer is the frame mounted safety on PT-92's.

I think they lack the name marquee of Beretta but, really, I have a hard time believing they are that much less reliable than a Beretta. Some people say the Berettas made in the U.S.A. are not as nice as the ones made in Italy but a lot of it is opinions.

What's the price difference these days between the two?

I had one a few years back and never had any problems, the only reason I sold it was because I needed the money.

Frankly if you were to but the American and Italian made along with the Taurus with all markings removed, I doubt you could tell the difference regardless of how many rounds you put through them. Not counting the safety of course.

I inherited a PT92 several years ago. It's an older model that still has the lanyard ring. I also have a slightly newer Beretta.

The locking block broke on the Taurus when I first got it. The finish is wearing a little rougher than the Beretta. Otherwise it's been solid.

Recently I've been shooting the Taurus a lot. It eats whatever I feed it and shoots pretty well.

I originally kept it for sentimental reasons but have really grown to like it.
