I went to the Central Florida gun show this morning, and purchased a new Ruger SR9c from one of the local stores for $415.00. They were much more willing to deal at the show then they were in one of their stores. The gun listed for $525.00 and they were initially willing to drop $35 or $40 at the store two weeks ago.

I picked up a spare magazine for $40 from another source. It was a Ruger mag, as it seems the gun is too new for the third parties to have much to offer.

I am hoping to get out Monday to the range to shoot the gun.

I have been seriously considering the Ruger SR9c as an option for CCW. However, I have heard that it supposedly comes standard with a magazine disconnect safety. I am honestly not a big fan of those if it is true.

That doesn't mean that I still wouldn't add one to my collection though, or stop considering it for CCW. As the others have stated, you have done well Daoust_Nat by picking up a great firearm. I am eager to hear your range report on it.

The gun does have a magazine safety, though it will dry fire without the magazine. I am not sure why it will do one without the other, but the manual says you cannot use the pistol as a "single loader."

It was Shoot Straight. They have a store about 7 miles from my house, and the deals in the store are not as good as the deals at the gunshows. they don't like to lose out at the shows. They underbid another dealer by $6.

It was 90 minutes into the first day and they were already doing a brisk business.
