new kahr cm9

Got a new kahr cm9 yesterday, took it to the range today to break it in. Shot 100 rounds of www and 100 rounds of cheap reloads. Had 1 fail to feed that was mag related, I'm pretty happy with it. What self defence ammo do you guys suggest. I also put a few winchester pdx1 down range and it seemed to do fine. I didn't see anything in the manual about +p ammo, is the cm9 rated for +p? I'm open to suggestions of anything that's better than the pdx1 for it. Thanks in advance for any help/advice

They a +P full time pistol. On ammo Leave the WWW alone, to darn many issues wity it atleast look easch round over before loading and if you have a problem assume its ammo related. I use a gold dot 124gr +P load. Speer of course Underwood and grorgia arms all load a great round with underwood and GA useing starline brass. I get 1143fps in my cm9 with GA. Never had a single issue in many years with several firearms with it. I am one that simply does not buy winchester ammo with all the problems they had had. To many other good choices.

What problems have you had with winchester?

I don't not shoot winchester whit box. Now if you run a search for ammo problems the WWB ammo gives the most problems over any 2 or 3 other labels. If you shoot it just besure to look each round over well . Other wise assume any feeding ,fireing issue you may have are ammo related first. Enjoy your pistol.

Take a look at the hornady zombie Max 9mm rounds. Same as their critical defense and cost a bit less!

I havent had any problems with any type of ammo from mine. I have run the white box as well as blazer brass and some remington hollow points. My reloads work great too. Personally, I think it is a top notch gun.

I agree rick. The lil thing is a very decent gun and shoots strait. This is 6 rounds with about 1/2 second between shots at about 5 or 6 yards. Not a great distance but it is a pocket pistol. Could have also been luck...that was by far my best group of a 100 rounds shot the other day. I was able to keep my groups.pretty close but this one kinda suprised me

I only use winchester white box for my 9mm amd 45acp, and have never had an ammo related issue, ever. Blazer on other hand, is dirty shizle!

Don't shoot the weapon of topic, but have owned many 9mm and all performed flawlessly with ammo in question. Simply a reference point. I've heard nothing bit great things about KAHR arms, but if they can't take the Winchester Whites, I'll ignore everything I've ever heard about them.

I've put a couple hundred rounds of wwb through it with no problems yet. Thats including the 1st hundred of the break in period
