Believe it or not the trigger is very good(not 1911 good but good), and the recoil isn't bad at all. Almost felt like I was shooting 9mm. As for take down, its similar to the s&w m&p, very easy. And the safeties r easy to work. As for bulk, in my opinion its bulkier than the G21sf but feels better

I've been looking, there are a few leather ones made for it and I think fobus makes one that fits. Plenty of iwb holsters available too

YouTube has a video where you can buy a XD Subcompact Serpa and slightly modify it and the FNX will fit perfect in it. I did so and it works pretty well for me.
