Default New 1911?

I need a new 1911, My price range is under 500 (including tax and fees)
I don't need any accessories
It has to be reliable and accurate
Does anyone have any ideas for suggestions?

Do a search for 1911 on one of the auction sites such as gunbroker and see what comes up. Then do some research on likley candidates.

Springfield GI would probably skim just under or over that. Norinco's and Rock Island Armory's seem to be well liked also but I don't know what prices they average.

Norincos are no longer importable to the USA, and the prices have gone way up, due to the desirability of their forged frames. RIAs are good guns for the money.
