Default need a new .45 acp whats the best

i am looking at getting a .45 and would like to know from all the fine gun owners out there what would be my best bet. looking for it to be accurate, low recoil, and on the lighter side for a concealed weapon.

your going to get alot of text book answers, blah blah blah, I say Glock 36! Go ahead and close this thread! 80% polymer, 34 parts, very manageable recoil for a .45, and it was made for concealment.

Oh. This isn't a 1911 thread.

Sorry. Can't help on this one.

Pick up a Commander length, alloy frame 1911.

Commander length, alloy frame or an officer/compact frame 1911.

I'm sorry, but when you say .45 all I see is a 1911. Are there any other .45s?

Low-recoil in my book means something in the metal category, such as an aluminum-framed, steel slided Defender-sized 1911.

But what sort of grip do you want? The 1911 family gives you single-stack thin-ness. The Glock 30 is double-stack brick, and only offers 3 more rounds.

The G36 is single stack, limits you to only 6+1 and is polymer.

There is no single "best." What works for me, won't necessarily work for you. You should go to a well stocked gun shop, or gun show and see which ones best fits your hands and go from there. There are many to choose from.

There is also no such thing as the single "best" ammo.

Good luck.
