Default Need help rusting

My galesi .25 auto is rusting in the barrel. I just traded to get it, I'm not sure on what to do or use just try regular cleaning with hoppes?

Does the term "wd-40" mean anything to you?

Welp, thats about all i got. Spray wd-40 on the rusted areas, use your basic barrel brush and gently work the rust away.

I'd strip the rest of the gun just to check and be safe.

Mix 50/50 Shooters Choice Bore Cleaner and Kroil "The Oil That Kreeps" patch your barrel well, let sit, then bore brush dipped in mixture well. Dry patch.. repeat a few times if you think it's needed. Go shoot clean again.

The 25 auto barrels are easy to access.

Field strip it, then brush it out with ATF,

to break up the rust. Let it soak in, unless

you're going to be assisting James Bond tomorrow.

Then lube it with Mobil1.

I think its pretty much the same as Mr Miyagi's number 1 rule:

Wipe on, wipe off???


But using super fine steel wool, or even burlap, and then a cotton cloth to remove the excess.

Minor on slide but much. I will try Kano kroil oil
