1. An individual cannot have too many firearms.
2. Everyone should have at least one 1911.
3. Get as much ammo as you can find for both.

So a 1911 would be good for home defense?

how do we know what you should do with your money, and things? we are not the government.
that being said, you have 2 carry pistols, i bet neither are really fun to shoot a lot for practice.
shoot both, and pick your favorite, then trade the other towards something that is alot of fun to shoot. like a full size pistol. either semi, or revolver. or even a rifle.
or keep both and buy a new gun anyway!!!!<<<< thats my pick

Only sell one or the other if you are going to commonize your ammunition.
Even now, it's better to have firearms that use a common ammunition platform than having to stock multiple calibers, IMHO.
If it were me, I'd sell the P95, if you still own it.

There's a lot of good advice being given. Unless you need to sell one for financial reasons, I'd keep both.

I just want to make sure I'm covered in all aspects. Most days I wear slacks with vneck untucked shirts. The LC9 conceals great but I dnt know how well the shield will conceal. It feels like the shield is a better gun. Thanks for the insight guys. All useful information is much appreciated.

Everyone should own at least one Colt and one 1911. Buy a Colt 1911 and kill two birds with one stone(or pistol). Just another mans opinion, either way have fun. Enjoy!!

I am kinda biased to the 1911. I have several for different purposes. And yes, they are good for home defense.
