Nazi Hi-Power value
My late father-in-law had a WW2 bring back Browning 9m/m Hi-Power that my wife inherited. It is in original condition and has the swastika stamped on it. I would say that it is about 95%. Any thoughts on its value ?

Without pictures that's hard to say. It's probably best to join a Hi Power forum and start a thread with quality pictures there. You'll find experts that can really help you.
Try to hang on to it and pass it down to your children one day. I hope your wife understands it's a priceless family heirloom and something she should treasure. What a wonderful gift from her father! Of course keep it clean and oiled. If there are bring back papers and other accessories keep them with the pistol.

Thanks Quentin, We don't want to sell it. He also brought back a Liberator but the box is missing. I think he was on the ship that dumped most of them in the ocean. We don't have any paperwork on them.

I'd rather my own son see me die on my feet as a free man, than watch him go, broken, into slavery.

BTW, Jeep, some Hi Powers were sabotaged in the FN plant, Belgian workers weren't real fond of their Nazi occupiers. If you ever intend to shoot it have it checked out unless your father in law fired it a lot himself. It's the unknown gun that is suspect.
I don't know how common this was but something to be aware of. Have a good hunt!
