Why wasn't this gun looked at for the government contract instead of colt? Seems to make at a lot of sense for that first shoot.
Did I mentionable want one in tan!

Congrats on the new pistol.

I recently picked up an FNP-45 Competition. I'm a long time 1911 shooter and quite impressed with the FNP. Very easy to shoot and seems very accurate. Still deciding whether I like it or not but I can certainly see why they are so highly regarded.

My 1911s won't be goin' anywhere. Got a little Kimber that's been with me for a dozen years now and is a sweet concealed carry solution.

Having 15 rounds is nice for a service pistol but I'm very comfortable with a 7+1 CC weapon and an extra magazine.

I can't speak to the durability as this isn't an issue I've ever had with my 1911 pistols and I'm too new to the FNP to comment intelligently.

I'm a 1911 guy no doubt but I have no clue how FN pistols have not taken off more than they have. They are simply great pistols. I've yet to see one that wouldn't eat anything that was fed to it and they are scary accurate.

Congrats on the gun! I have the fnp .45 and really like it! But I still love my 1911's way more. Dont get me wrong the FN is a great gun, but the 1911 has 100 years of reliable, third reich and commie stoppin' history behind it! And the new tupperware cannot say that! LOL
