Okay, startin' to get a little deep in here, better go get my high top cowboy boots on!

Seriously, man on a budget oughta check out the Bersa line of pistols & their 9mm is reputed to be the best of them. No pretty finish on them, but half the price & the finish is not what does the job it's intended to do.

Break-in consists of clean it, lube it, load it & shoot 13+1 rounds. There, it's broke in! They also have a compact .40 & high cap. .40. My first pistol was the Firestorm Mini .40 (same pistol just different rollmark) for carry. Cleaned & lubed it & shot about two mag loads to get the feel of it, then took my CHL class & fired 50 more rounds without a hiccup. We had to stop & wait a couple of times while folks with their high priced pistols cleared jams.

I know,im full of it :-)

But i agree with going to your LGS and handling several different weapons, i guarantee you that once you do that you will quickly find out which one is the right one.

I agree with the idea of the glock. They are very good anything guns. Good for defense, range or anything in between. And when it comes to reliability they go bang every time you pull the trigger. Cant really ask for anything more
