Default My 1st new gun!!!

I just bought a Ruger LCP today. This is the first gun that I have bought brand new. I'm really excited to go to the range next weekend and try it out. I've got a question though... Is there anything I need to do before using it for the first time? (i.e. clean it, oil it, etc.) Like I said this is the first brand new handgun I've ever had. I'll post pics and a range report later. By the way, I paid $289.99 in case anyone was wondering. They would only sell me one box of ball ammo and one box of hollow point because of the shortage in .380 ammo.

Congratulations. The first new one is exciting. Let us know what you think and post a range report.

Run a patch down the barrel and load the mag!

Have fun, hang on and provide us with some gun porn.

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

No shortage here in Astoria, Oregon. Fred Myers must have 30 boxes on the shelf ready for sale in FMJ and hollow point,

Here's some photos... The last photo is the Ruger LCP w/ my FEG PJK-9HP (Browning Hi-Power) for size comparison.
