Most Accurate Semi-Auto?

Give me your opinions on the most accurate semi-auto.

Any semi auto can be as accurate as you want it, it just depends on how much you train with it and how good you train yourself to shoot properly

That said, in my opinion...

1911s are the most accurate .45's

Beretta M9/M92 is the most accurate 9mm

"All guns are more accurate than the shooter". That said the handgun I shoot the best is both my Ruger SR9c and my Springfield Mil-Spec 1911A1.

Very few shooters are skilled enough to prove the accuracy of the average pistol. I shoot regularly and highly doubt my skill will ever surpass the capabilities of any of my pistols...and they all fall into the $400-800 price range.

There are a ton of super accurate rimfires out there.

Among semi-auto centerfires, you can pay $2000+ for high end 1911s or a Sig P210 or X-5. Those guns have exceptional reputations as target guns. So do some of the $1000 CZs. Even the longslide Glocks are quite popular in competitions I believe, and they're a good choice if that's up your alley.

If you want a good centerfire that'll maximize your own skill w/o breaking the bank:

9mm: Browning Hi-Power, CZ 75, or Sig P226.
357sig/40: Sig P226
45acp: 1911
357mag: 6" S&W 627/686, maybe a Ruger GP100

I have a few 1911a1's, and my most accurate is an older Springfield I bought new in about 1987. It has been rebuilt several times and is still the most accurate in a machine rest over my others (Ed Brown Kobra Carry included.)

My FNP-45 Tactical is very accurate, soft recoil, and one of the best sights in a handgun.

i would say my most accurate is my 1944 ithaca 1911a1:

Hard to beat a 1911 for accuracy.

Semi auto rifles will vary. But will never be as accurate as bolt guns.
