I haven't heard of any new trigger from S&W, but Apex puts out a great trigger kit for the M&P. Burwell Gunsmithing also does a great trigger job and other customizations on them for pretty reasonable pricing.

The trigger on a new M&P does leave a little to be desired but it smooths out pretty quickly. After about 500 rounds fired, it is pretty sweet. Or, spend the ~$90 and get an Apex kit (drop in parts for DIY) or have Dan Burwell do his magic on it for $65 plus shipping. He claims his "standard trigger job" gets the M&P as close to a 1911 trigger as you can get without having a 1911.

I have an M&P 9, had a .40 (sold it to a friend I served with). I have never had any issues with either.

So, what are the chances of getting a separate sub-forum for the M&Ps? There are getting to be quite a few of them around these days and they are proving to be quite accurate and reliable.
