Default Looking for my First Handgun

I have narrowed it down to a Sig P250 or a SP2022. Both are new and priced at 399.99. My two questions are:

Which gun is more reliable?

Can either of them be converted to .40?

Thanks guys, this is my first post. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

if you want a 40cal why not just save a bit more till you can afford what you really want??

Some conversion kits may work, some won't.

If you are going to rely on the handgun to protect your rear end, do you really want to buy something inexpensive?

In days of old, it was not uncommon for people to pay 1 month's salary for a handgun. Even in today's wages, that still will get you a quality handgun.

If you want a .40S&W caliber handgun, then buy one. There are quite a number available in the $400-$500 range. Especially if you look at the used market. Police turn-ins are normally carried a lot, shot a little. If you could get by with a couple of external scratches....

I own both

My Sp 2022

My Sig P250

I personally think that the P2022 has one of the best triggers of all of my Sig's

Other than that - it should depend on whether you like SA/DA or DAO triggers.

I personally like a SA/DA.

Good luck.
