Default looking for all metal gun 9x 17, 18, or 19

I've been lusting after a BDA or a Cheetah of late and want other options for an all metal gun that is somewhat compact. A few years ago I tried a PA63 in 9x18, but the sharp recoil turned me off. I have large hands and want one I could shoot several hundred rounds without complaint. I usually shoot .45 acp, so I'm not opposed to recoil, just pain. Thanks in advance.

One of the best all metal true compacts out there is the Kahr K9 (9mm Parabellum). Well worth looking into. It's my daughters favorite carry gun but Dad gets to "borrow" it every once in a while if I ask nicely. There are several CZ models that would fit your bill if you want a double stack slightly bigger gun.

Bulgarian-made Makarov PM's (9x18) are available very cheaply, and the one I shot was quite comfortable.

Oh just go get yourself the Beretta! You'll never be sorry, they are great pistols.

yes sir the makarov is a pretty nice little gun to shoot, the round isn't all that bad either. Plus they have a holster out there that the spetnaz use it cocks the gun and turns off the safety in one slick move all you have to do is push it torwards the ground and you ready to rock and roll.

Saw there is a copy of the Baretta 84 by American Tactical. Store prices are about $375, so I may end up with one of those.

Why don't you check out a CZ 75 Compact? or CZ 83?

CZ 75 compact, $550

Sig P239, $600-800

Also look at CZ 2075 RAMI ($550). And for under $500: Stoeger Cougar, Bersa Thunder, and some of the used 4-digit S&W service pistols can be great options.

Thank you for your replies.
The used market has entered the fray.
J&G Sales offers the CZ83 for around $220. Some of the auction sites have BDAs & the Beretta 84s used for $274-400 or so.
