Well apparently some of you can't read as I've already stated 1911's are way too big for my wife's hands.

On that note I have thought about the Walther. But I think I like the Ruger a little bit more. She's no James Bond.

My wife is 5'1" and she has tiny hands and she can both work the action and fire my 1911 .45. So I think the size factor of a 1911 should be taken off the table at least until she's shot one. The SIG or GSG 1911-22's are great pistols she should give one a try.
One the other end of that argument, Browning makes a 1911-22 that is 80% the size of a full size 1911. Which makes it about the size of a Ruger SR22 or that Walther P22. It's a very unique pistol and very true to the original JMB design.

There is noting wiring with a 1911 platform .. I love the 1911's .. I own a springfield 1911 45acp work like a champ !! My wife loves it as we'll and she's a small women with small hands .. She can hand my 1911 great but when we look around for a 22lr pistol she like two pistols by the weight and the way the grip fit in her hand.. Ruger sr22 and walther p22 .. She pick the walther p22.. Take ur lady to the store and let her pick and then come back and ask a rating about the pistol .. Hope this helps

Keeper! My wife rolls her eyes whenever I get a gun out. No way she would go with me to the range.
