It will meet your demands, weights in at 25 oz and its hard to go wrong with a Kimber, some have had issues but more sucesses exist. |

The lc9 is a good gun. But I always recommend someone going the 1911 route. I'd stay away from the Kimbers man. __________________ GOFFA Council Member

I have had 2 kimbers and they are both great guns. For 1911s they are my gun of choice many of my friends have them also and so far no problems for any of us |

I've owned a custom II for 6 years and have about 2000 rounds thru it without one single problem except wearing out bulls eyes on targets. I just took my second Kimber ( Pro CDPII ) to the range today. Same with this one too. No FTF,s no FTE,s just good reliable accurate shooting. |

I carried a defender-sized 1911 for awhile. The Colt New Agent never gave me problems, but my Kimber Ultra wouldn't always load and go fully into battery. For sure it was my fault. No matter how solid a platform my wrists were providing, I was unable to keep from limp-wristing enough to keep it always running. I won't blame Kimber, but I also cannot carry that sort of gun anymore.
I currently carry a Kahr PM45, but someday I may even consider the new Springfield Armory XDs when it really hits the streets. I hear it smacks the PM45 in it behind and makes it cry home to mommy. We'll see. I know the XDs is supposed to be about $550, which is a LOT cheaper than any Kimber Ultra I saw! __________________ .45 acp, 9mm, .38 spl +p, .380 acp, .22 long rifle
