I'd take the SA every time, merely based on all the QC headaches that have emerged from Kimber of late.

Kimber has been around for a very long time. their guns have good track records and they are all tight and strong

Wouldn't trade mine for anything. Be careful though, i've heard from a lot of people that their quality has taken a nose dive in the last year or so.

Given the choice of the two marks, I'd go with the Springer every time.

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

I'm also a fan of the kimbers as mine have never failed me. As said before, they are made very tight and strong. And they are very accurate. But I've also heard great things about the Springfield as well. People swear by them as you can tell by this and many other threads. IMO I don't think you could go wrong either way. And I also agree that westy's springfield is a pretty awesome looking 1911!
