I luv mine.... it is a Custom Stainless Series I and it is very accurate and a joy to shoot. Not sure if the newer ones have earned the bad rap or not, but to me, it was a good purchase and a 1 yr warrenty isnt a big deal to me as most of the parts that I have upgraded were installed myself and were drop right in fit..... Folks really seem to get in a twist about the warrenty period but It makes me think of the car commerical that is currently running where the sales rep touts the great warranty and the customer basically says that if the product is so good, why do I need such an extensive duration for the warranty? Just food for thought.....

I do know this, you won't go wrong with Sig, Colt or Wilson combat, I tend to do research sometimes and that's why I have found to be the best. Also asked some buddies of mine

I work at a gun shop and yes you are right sig and wilson (while in different leagues) r good quality, i have noticed colt is just a name now... Ive seen alot of quality control issues with them, and while i was conidering one for a gi model or mil spec purchase, i changed my ind and wil be going with springfield. I have yet to see springfield, kimber, or sig with the issues ive seen from colt, para, and above all taurus. No disrespect, but take it from me, some companies you are paying for quality, and some you are paying for the name. And with colt, you are paying for the name. Cot isnt even colt anymore. They havent made their own 1911s since 1981

Its 200 for mine since hes making one to accomidate my 1911 with my streamlight. Anything standard will rin closer to 100 and some change. But it is custom work

I have a custom II and an HD II. Two best guns in the safe when compared to my xd's, glock, Beretta, and so on. Didn't have a problem spending the money on one helluva gun. I would do it every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
