I would pick the C3. It's a CCO configuration and I don't believe any of the Raptor models are. My brother bought a C3 back in the fall and be loves it. Very nice gun.

There isn't a Kimber in my stable.
(And like others, I do have some experience with 1911's)

In my humble opinion (completely spelled out no less...) I would go SIG. I really like shooting mine it shoots better than me! And I get a lifetime warranty too!

Of the 15 1911's in my safe, the only repeats I have are Kimber(3) and Springfield(2).I've never had a problem with the Kimbers, only one was bought NIB,price has been competetive, and warranty a non issue.I do like my Sig STX!

I've had 2 kimbers, 1 colt, and 1 american classic. The kimbers have been great to me and the colt was a national match from the 1970's do its definitely one of the good ones. Dont care much for the colts made after 81.

Your still talking about 1 gun in 50K. You just got the bad end of the deal. Face it, it does happen. Same is true with a car. If your new mustang wouldnt start the second time you got in it, would sell it and buy something esle. Probably not. I have owned and still own Kimbers and have had no issues with any of them. I guess the pistols gods were with me when I bought them.

Over priced. Get a nice Wilson Combat 1911 or get a Para, Colt or Sig 1911 then send it to Wilson combat

Don't seem overpriced at all as far as the quality. Love it. Seems worth every penny.
